Computers and Writing Online 2001 was the companion conference to Computers and Writing 2001, to be held May 17-20 2001 at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. The theme of both conferences is "A Cyber Odyssey," and, like the onsite conference, C&W Online will explore the developing uses of technology in writing classrooms at all levels. This year, C&W Online will collaborate with the onsite conference to include online segments of the Graduate Research Network, and several of the conference strands, as well as events unique to the online conference, such as MOOshop, the workshop for teachers who want to learn about teaching in a MOO, and demonstrations and explorations of various online tools. Some discussions will be asynchronous, taking place on our email forum. Other events will be real time, taking place on the MOO Connections. We'll provide many opportunities for those who aren't already familiar with MOOs to get help with Connections, so don't worry if you don't even know what a MOO is--we want you to attend, and we'll help you get there! The special mission of the C&W Online conference is to address several needs of the computers and writing community and its annual Computers and Writing conference:
Please join us for as much of Computers and Writing Online 2001 as you can--we look forward to seeing you there! |
