XV has a function that will allow you to set the background image for your desktop, much like you would using the Display menu on a Windows computer.

To set the background on your desktop, first open the image you want to use as your background using the Load window. Then, click the "root" button to choose your desktop display options.

The "root" button gives you many different options for how to set the background image for your desktop. Below are small clips of a few of the options.

To de-select the background image, press the Root button and select "Window."

Note: If you use the Root button to set a background, and then remove it, your desktop may revert to a generic-looking background. Your normal NWE background will return next time you log in.
