There are Sharp LCD projectors in rooms 105, 114, 115, 314 and 315.

To use these projectors:

  1. Locate the projector control keypad on the wall near the instructor terminal.
  2. Press On on the keypad to turn the projector on. (The unit may take a couple of minutes to warm up and get up to full brightness.)
  3. To display the instructor's computer terminal, press "Computer" on the keypad.
  4. Press VCR on the keypad to display the VCR.
  5. Press OFF on the projector control keypad to turn the projector off when you're finished using it. (You may need to press OFF twice).

That's about it. Please, turn off the projector, as well as the VCR and stereo receiver, before you leave the classroom. Not only does it save electricty, it saves bulb-time. The light bulbs on the projectors have a limited life-span, so any time you can turn them off, it helps.

Problems with the projector?

Contact the NWE Help staff. They can probably fix whatever is wrong. If the projector gives you a warning message (like the flashing yellow word bulb), let us know.
