Resources

Classroom Terminals provide the following programs, documented on these pages.

Servers

As a student, all of your NWE work is saved onto the NWE file server. We don't use floppy disks, CD-ROMs, or other removeable media. If you work on your computer at home, you'll either need to use file transfer protocol (FTP) to transfer your files directly to the server, or else take your floppy to one of the CIRCA labs to use one of their microcomputers to transfer the file.

Connectivity:

Your NWE account allows for unlimited access to the NWE tools from any of the Rolfs Hall classrooms.

The NWE does not provide for any direct dial-up access. In other words, we don't have a phone number for you to be able to connect directly into the NWE system. However, you can access NWE web pages, email, MOOville, and transfer files to and from your own computer by dialing up through either your UF Gatorlink account or through an independent Internet Services Provider.
