The applications on the top of the NWE menu are the ones you are most likely to use for your classes. But there are many more applications availble to you in the NWE. Check the submenus near the bottom of the NWE menu to find other useful applications.
- Pine:: The simple terminal-based email client
- Adobe Acrobat:: View and print Acrobat (PDF) documents
- PC file viewer:: View PC files (Microsoft Word, etc)
- Pico:: The terminal-based Pico text editor
- dt text editor:: The very simple dt text editor
- Emacs:: Help for the extensible text editor
- Shell:: The Unix shell, or command-line interface
- Lynx:: A text-only web browser
- vi:: vi Editor, in-shell editor
