NWE Help: Remote: Campus
You should be able to access your NWE web pages from most places on campus. In fact, it's not a bad idea to see how your stuff looks on the Library's 640 x 480 monitors. Use the regular email addresses and host names.
From a dorm room, you can connect to the NWE by dialup or with a high speed Ethernet connection to the UF network. The Division of Housing's DHNet coordinates connection services for UF Dorms.
The UF Libraries offer limited access to the NWE. CIRCA Labs also offers a good level of access. However, if you're on campus, and Rolfs Hall is open, you're much better off coming to Rolfs to access the NWE.
Most campus computers are general-access machines. Whenever you
connect from any campus computer, don't save passwords, login names,
or preferences--
SSH or ftp access to the NWE may be limited from certain on-campus networking sites.
