StarOffice's extensive online help system can be accessed in two ways. The first method, Tool Tips, are the easiest to use. Just hold the mouse over any button or menu selection, and a yellow box which explains the button or menu function will be displayed.

The second method brings up the help documentation browser. From the "Help" menu (the right-most choice) of a StarOffice window, select "Help Contents."

The StarOffice help documentation browser will come up in a window which looks like this:

The window is hypertextual, so underlined elements are links which will display more information. The window is also slightly different for each program. The different help pages come up when you're in a different subset of the StarOffice program, like StarOffice's slide show program Impress.
