NWE Help: StarOffice: Web Docs
NWE Home :: Help :: StarOffice
StarOffice has its own web-editing tool that allows you to make links, add images, and so forth. While we don't recommend that option for most users (it's a little clunky), StarOffice's "save to web" feature is pretty handy. Below are the steps for saving pages to the web.
- Open a text document that you've made using StarOffice.
- Choose the File menu and select "Save as...." The bottom of the save dialog will look like the image below.
- Type a file name with the .html extension.
- Under "File Type," select "HTML" as shown.
- Save the document in your public_html directory.
Your document should now be on the web at:
http://www.nwe.ufl.edu/~username/filename.html
(of course, substitute your username and the filename of your
document where indicated.)
That's all you need to do!
