In the spring of 2000 Dr. Blake Scott's ENC 4260 course developed three tutorials for web authoring which focused on learning HTML in the NWE using the asWe web editor. These tutorials have been condensed into one easy-to-use tutorial that will show you much of what you need to know to use the NWE to make web pages.
- Introduction:: Getting started with this tutorial
- Starting asWe:: Starting the asWe HTML editor
- Saving:: Saving and naming web page files
- Previewing:: Previewing your work in Mozilla
- Basics:: A few HTML basics web authors should know
- Adding content:: Adding content with HTML tags and text
- Styling text:: Controlling the styling of text (bold, italic, colors, etc)
- Spacing text:: Adding spaces (paragraphs and line breaks) to your HTML text
- Adding links:: Linking to other pages, images, or sites
- Adding color:: Controlling the color of your web page
- Adding images:: Adding images to your web page
- Retrieving files:: Retrieving web pages you have already saved
- Ally Gator's Homepage:: The sample page that the tutorial will guide you to make
- Original work:: The unedited tutorials the students developed
We're proud of the excellent work these students did and we look forward to similar projects in the future.
