NWE Help: Web: Browsing: Bookmarks
NWE Home :: Help :: Web :: Browsing
Bookmarks are lists of addresses that you create of frequently visited sites. They work as shortcuts to information that might otherwise be difficult to find. Your bookmarks are unique to your use of Firefox--your bookmarks are saved in your home directory and are not shared with other users.
To add a bookmark, open a web page, wait for it to load, and choose "Add bookmark" from the "Bookmark" menu. To view the page again, pull down the Bookmark menu and select the name of the page you bookmarked.
Every NWE student has predefined bookmarks to help with coursework. Your home page, your instructor's home page, and a few others are among the bookmarks already defined at the beginnning of the semester.
If you build up a large number of bookmarks, you can open the "Bookmark" window from the "Window" menu, and edit your bookmarks into folder collections, delete unused bookmarks, or move them around. The bookmark interface is drag-and-drop.
