Replacing Projector Bulbs

Sharp LCD projectors' bulbs last about 2000 hours under normal circumstances, after which they turn themselves off permanently with a timer. When you replac the bulb, you have to also reset the timer to allow the new bulb to be recognized for its 2000 hours.

To reset a Sharp LCD projector's bulb

1. turn of the power with the 1/0 toggle or red push-button switch
2. pull the power cable out of the projector
3. hold down the keypad butons for down and right arrows along with <enter> button (and keep holding)
4. plug in the power cable
5. turn on the power
6. press the On button
7. release the three keypad buttons
8. check the hours in the system menu
