It is important, regardless of what shifts you work, that every assistant check every room during every shift they work. Do not assume that nothing has changed or gone wrong since the last assistant's shift, check for yourself.
In every room, check every workstation to be sure it's showing a login screen. Send notes and log out anyone still logged in. Fix down terminals or note them if you can't get them working. Turn off all A/V equipment, especially projectors.
There are a variety of people with keys which open doors we are responsible for, so doors may be unlocked, unlatched, or otherwise insecure. Also, environmental conditions (air conditioning, heat, moisture) may change and need to be reported as problems. Any open windows should be closed since they prevent the heating and air from functioning properly. They also let in birds, bugs and other creatures.
While they are not our responsibility to fix, please do report problems with restrooms, the elevator, graffiti, and other things which are amiss. Allan and Sherri are building contacts who can schedule maintenance as needed.
